Tensions in the Gulf region intensified as smoke was reportedly seen near the Embassy of the United States in Kuwait in Kuwait City following suspected Iranian-related attacks.
Firefighters and ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the area by emergency authorities. The US embassy issued urgent safety instructions through its website, advising American citizens and residents to avoid the embassy area and stay indoors.
Authorities warned that the threat of missile and drone strikes in Kuwait remains high, urging civilians to avoid unnecessary outdoor movement and take shelter in lower floors of buildings.
Explosions Reported in Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Manama
Simultaneously, loud explosion-like sounds were reported in several Gulf capitals.
In Manama, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior activated air-raid sirens and instructed citizens to move to safe locations. The strategic Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge connecting Manama was temporarily closed.
In Doha and Abu Dhabi, residents reported hearing strong explosions and the sound of military aircraft flying overhead, according to international media reports including CNN.

Iraqi Air Defense Intercepts Missile and Drone Threats
Heavy blast reports also emerged from Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s autonomous Kurdish region.
Sources said the Iraqi air defense system intercepted missiles and drones targeting Erbil International Airport, preventing potential damage.
Minor Injuries Reported at Kuwait Oil Refinery
According to Kuwait’s state news agency, debris falling near the Mina Al-Ahmadi Oil Refinery injured two workers slightly.
Emergency services confirmed that the injuries were minor and that operations at the refinery were not severely disrupted.
