Saudi Arabia warns it may take military action amid rising tensions with Iran.
(Web Desk): Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister said the country has the right to take military action against Iran and that trust with Tehran has been badly damaged after recent missile attacks.

The comments came after Saudi Arabia was hit by Iranian ballistic missiles. Iran, in turn, accused Israel of attacking its gas facilities and warned of further strikes on oil and gas targets across the Gulf, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan said Iran has been carrying out planned hostile actions against its neighbors, both directly and through allied groups. He warned that such pressure will backfire and said Saudi Arabia may respond with military action if needed.

The statement was made during a meeting of regional diplomats in Riyadh, where air defense systems were reportedly active as missiles were intercepted.

Tensions have continued to rise in the ongoing conflict, with attacks spreading across the region and affecting global energy supplies. Oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE have come under threat or attack.

Saudi Arabia said it has successfully intercepted most missiles and drones, but recent strikes caused concern as people in Riyadh heard explosions for the first time.

Although Saudi Arabia and Iran restored diplomatic relations in 2023, relations have worsened again. The foreign minister said the kingdom still prefers diplomacy, but warned that if Iran does not stop its actions, rebuilding trust will be very difficult.
