Riyadh (Web Desk): Saudi Arabia has ordered Iranian diplomats to leave the country within 24 hours, a move that adds pressure on the Strait of Hormuz and raises fears of a potential US-Iran war.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia said several Iranian embassy staff, including the military attaché and assistant military attaché, have been declared “undesirable persons” and must immediately depart.

Officials emphasized that this decision is intended to safeguard Saudi national security and sovereignty.

Saudi authorities warned that the continued presence of these diplomats could pose a direct threat to national safety. The ministry stressed that Saudi Arabia reserves the right to take all necessary actions to protect its interests.

Analysts noted that such measures reflect deepening tensions in the region, especially around the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for global energy shipments.

Saudi Arabia also accused Iran of actions that undermine regional peace and stability. Officials said Iranian moves threaten not only the Middle East but international security as well.

Observers fear that these developments could escalate into a broader conflict, potentially involving the US-Iran war scenario.

Experts say the expulsion of Iranian diplomats is a serious diplomatic step that could intensify existing friction between the two nations.

With the Strait of Hormuz already a point of contention, this decision increases the risk of regional instability and could have ripple effects on international trade and energy markets.
