Riyadh (Web Desk): Saudi Arabia allocates SAR 1.3 billion to support Yemen government salaries shortfall, aiming to ease budget deficit and boost stability.

Saudi Arabia has set aside SAR 1.3 billion to help cover the Yemeni government’s salary shortfall. The move was ordered by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The financial aid was delivered through the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen. Officials say the step is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen stability and development in Yemen.

The support is designed to improve Yemen’s economic and financial condition. It also aims to strengthen government institutions, improve transparency, and encourage private sector growth for long-term recovery.

Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi thanked the Saudi leadership for the assistance. He said the support will help pay state employees and reflects the Kingdom’s continued backing of Yemen.

Al-Alimi added that the aid sends a strong message of confidence in Yemen’s recovery process. He said cooperation with Saudi Arabia is a strategic choice for building a stable future.

He also called for united efforts to rebuild institutions, improve living standards, and promote economic and social progress.
