(Web Desk): Saudi Arabia increases petrol prices, raising concerns over inflation while keeping diesel and kerosene rates stable.

Authorities in Saudi Arabia have announced an increase in petrol prices, adding to inflationary pressure on consumers. According to the latest update, the price of 98-octane petrol has been significantly raised from 2.94 riyals to 3.83 riyals, marking a notable hike in recent months.

However, the prices of other fuel types have remained unchanged. The rate for 91-octane petrol continues at 2.18 riyals, while 95-octane petrol remains stable at 2.33 riyals, offering partial relief to consumers who rely on these fuel grades.

Meanwhile, diesel and kerosene prices have also been kept steady. Diesel remains priced at 1.79 riyals, and kerosene at 1.59 riyals, helping maintain stability in transportation and other key sectors that depend heavily on these fuels.

Saudi officials have assured the public that fuel supplies across the country are sufficient and that there is no risk of shortages. They emphasized that all petroleum products are readily available to meet domestic demand.

Economic experts suggest that the increase in petrol prices is likely linked to fluctuations in global oil markets. The rise in fuel costs may contribute to higher living expenses, particularly for consumers using high-octane petrol, while stable diesel prices may ease pressure on logistics and transport sectors.
