TEHRAN (Web Desk): Iran says energy infrastructure was attacked as Israeli-US strikes reportedly hit gas facilities, raising fresh concerns.

Iranian media have claimed that key energy sites were targeted in new attacks, even as the United States signaled a pause in strikes.

According to Iran’s Fars news agency, a gas administration building and a gas pressure station on Kaveh Street in Isfahan were hit.

The report said the facilities were “partially damaged”, though no major disruption was immediately confirmed.

Fars also reported another strike on a gas pipeline linked to the Khorramshahr power plant in southwestern Iran. Officials said a projectile landed near the pipeline’s processing station.

However, the governor of the city said the situation was under control, and gas supply continued without interruption.

These developments come at a sensitive time, as US President Donald Trump had earlier stepped back from his threat to target Iran’s energy infrastructure.

Trump said “things are going very well” with Iran and indicated that talks were ongoing.

He had also announced a temporary pause in attacks on Iran’s power plants.

The shift came just before a deadline linked to a warning that Iran must reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face further strikes.

Despite this, Iranian officials denied that any negotiations were taking place with the United States. They maintained that no talks were underway to end the ongoing conflict.

The situation has created confusion, with mixed signals from both sides about whether diplomacy or escalation will come next.

Observers say such developments could further increase tensions in an already unstable region.
