(Web Desk): Iran says it is open to nuclear deal compromises if the United States agrees to lift sanctions and show genuine commitment.

Iran has indicated it is willing to consider compromises on its nuclear program if the United States agrees to lift sanctions and engage in serious negotiations, raising hopes of renewed diplomatic efforts between the two rivals.

Speaking in an interview with BBC, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said Tehran remains open to discussions if Washington demonstrates genuine intent to reach an agreement.

He emphasized that the responsibility now lies with the United States to prove its willingness for diplomacy. “The ball is now in America’s court,” he said, adding that meaningful progress could be achieved if sanctions are addressed during talks.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said President Donald Trump prefers a diplomatic solution but warned that reaching a deal with Iran would be “extremely difficult.”

Iranian officials clarified they are ready to discuss various aspects of their nuclear program, but any compromise would depend on negotiations over sanctions. However, Takht-Ravanchi did not specify whether Iran expects all sanctions to be removed or only certain restrictions eased.

When asked whether Iran would agree to send its stockpile of highly enriched uranium abroad, similar to arrangements under the 2015 nuclear agreement, the deputy foreign minister said it was too early to predict the outcome of future negotiations.

The latest statements suggest cautious optimism but highlight ongoing mistrust between both countries. Analysts say the success of any future agreement will depend on mutual concessions and concrete steps from both sides to rebuild confidence and avoid further escalation.
