TEHRAN (Web Desk): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his firm position against what he described as “Zionist aggression.”

He said Erdogan’s clear and strong stance reflects courage and responsibility at a time when the region is facing serious instability.

Pezeshkian added that the Turkish nation has long played an important role in showing solidarity with the Muslim world.

He said Iran and Turkiye will continue moving forward together on this path of unity and cooperation. The remarks were shared in an official statement from the Iranian presidency.

Meanwhile, President Erdogan recently said that Turkiye will continue using all available resources to support peace efforts in Iran. He also warned that the ongoing conflict has spread across the region and is creating serious economic pressure.

Erdogan said the Turkish government is taking steps to reduce the impact of the war on its economy.

At the same time, diplomatic activity is increasing across the region. US President Donald Trump recently sent a peace plan to Iran and expressed hope that the conflict could be brought to an end.

Tehran has also said it will allow “non-hostile” oil vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route. However, tensions remain high despite these signals of possible diplomacy.

New missile exchanges have been reported in the region, with Israel and Iran continuing attacks on multiple fronts.

Israel has also vowed to expand military actions in southern Lebanon, further escalating the conflict.

Trump has made mixed statements in recent days, at times suggesting escalation and at other times claiming the war may be nearing an end. Iran, however, has not officially confirmed any direct negotiations with the United States.
