Iran has claimed that over 200 US troops were killed or wounded in the past 24 hours, as the Iran–US–Israel conflict enters its second week with escalating military attacks across the Middle East.
According to a statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), several American military personnel were reportedly targeted during Iranian retaliatory strikes on US-linked facilities and strategic assets in the region.
The claim could not be independently verified, but Iranian officials say the attacks were part of a wider military response to ongoing US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran.
Attack on US Fifth Fleet Base in Bahrain
Iranian military officials claimed that 21 US personnel were killed at the US naval base in Bahrain, which hosts the United States Fifth Fleet, during recent operations.
Tehran says the attack was conducted in retaliation for strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure and military sites.
Iran also claimed that more than 200 US soldiers were killed or injured at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates during missile and drone strikes.
Iranian Strikes Target Oil Tankers and Strategic Sites
The IRGC also reported targeting a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, using drone strikes.
Earlier reports suggested that an American oil vessel in the northern Persian Gulf was also targeted during the operations.
Iranian forces further claimed that they launched missiles at strategic targets in Tel Aviv, causing buildings to shake following the strikes.
Additionally, Iranian air defenses reportedly shot down an Israeli drone in Iran’s Hormozgan province.

US and Israeli Strikes Intensify in Iran
Meanwhile, US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran have intensified during the second week of the conflict.
According to American media reports, recent attacks targeted military bases, missile launchers, and facilities belonging to the IRGC in cities including Tehran and Isfahan.
Iran, however, rejected those claims and said civilian areas were bombed, resulting in casualties.
The Iranian Red Crescent reported that since the beginning of the conflict:
- 5,535 residential units
- 1,041 commercial units
- 14 medical centers
- 65 schools
- 13 Red Crescent facilities
have been damaged or destroyed during the fighting.
Iran Blames US for Escalation
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Washington would be responsible for further escalation if the conflict intensifies.
He stated that Iran is prepared for any level of confrontation and claimed that attempts by Masoud Pezeshkian to reduce tensions were misunderstood by Donald Trump.
Araghchi also accused Israeli leadership of dragging the United States into the war, calling the conflict a war chosen by those prioritizing Israel’s interests.
Regional Tensions Continue to Rise
Military analysts warn that continued escalation between Iran, the United States, and Israel could threaten critical global shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, through which a large share of the world’s oil supply passes.
If attacks on oil infrastructure, military bases, and shipping vessels continue, the conflict could trigger wider instability across the Middle East.
