On Friday, the United Nations Security Council held an important meeting on the Israel-Iran war.

Addressing the UN Security Council, Pakistani delegate Asim Iftikhar said that Pakistan condemns Israeli aggression and illegal actions against Iran, Israel and Iran want a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and Israeli aggression poses serious threats to regional peace.

The Pakistani envoy has said that the Security Council should play its role in achieving a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, that diplomacy should be given another chance, that the parties should come to immediate talks, and that peace should be ensured before the situation gets out of control.

Asim Iftikhar said that the Israeli attacks are a violation of the UN Charter, we stand with our Iranian brothers against Israeli aggression, the issue of Iran s nuclear program should be resolved through dialogue, and the International Atomic Energy Agency should work impartially.
