DOHA (Web Desk): The Arab-Islamic summit turned intense as Pakistan proposed the creation of a task force to counter Israel’s aggression and expansionist agenda in the Middle East.

Leaders from nearly 50 states gathered under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), representing 57 Muslim-majority nations. The summit focused on Israel’s shocking attack on Qatar and its devastating war in Gaza.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the assault, describing Israel as “an aggressor who violates international law seriously.” He said Pakistan stands firmly with Qatar, warning that the attack was not an isolated strike but part of Israel’s hegemonic ambition to dominate the entire region.

“This is a flagrant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty,” the prime minister declared, adding that mediators are sacred because they symbolize hope for peace. He noted that while Qatar was working to bring reconciliation, women and children in Gaza were enduring a humanitarian catastrophe.

Sharif urged urgent global action to stop what he called “war crimes in Gaza.” He demanded Israel’s suspension from the United Nations and called for a united Muslim response to block Israel’s expansionist plans through a powerful OIC task force.

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani made a dramatic disclosure, accusing Israel of striking Hamas negotiators in Doha last week. “Whoever assassinates the party he is negotiating with only seeks to destroy peace efforts,” he said, warning that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dreams of turning the Arab world into Israel’s sphere of influence — a “dangerous illusion.”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi also warned that Israel’s ongoing aggression threatens regional security and jeopardizes any future peace agreements. He stressed that the current violence not only blocks new treaties but could even sabotage existing ones.

The Arab-Islamic summit in Doha has escalated tensions by bringing Israel’s actions into sharp international focus. Pakistan’s demand for a UN suspension and a task force indicates a harder stance by Muslim nations, while Qatar’s revelations about attacks on negotiators raise chilling questions about Israel’s intentions.

Israel’s expanding military actions are no longer confined to Gaza but now risk alienating Qatar, a mediator in regional peace. Leaders’ warnings suggest that if Israel continues this path, it may isolate itself further, collapsing existing agreements and blocking new ones. The political shockwaves from Doha show that the Middle East is heading toward a crossroads — either collective resistance against Israel’s expansionism or a collapse of diplomatic avenues for peace.
