US and Saudi Arabia condemn terror attacks in Balochistan

Islamabad (Web Desk): Saudi Arabia and the US condemned terror attacks in Balochistan and expressed solidarity with Pakistan after deadly violence across several districts.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the terrorist attacks carried out on Saturday in multiple districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Gwadar, Khuzdar, Kalat, Panjgur, and Mastung.

The Saudi foreign ministry said it was deeply concerned and saddened by the incidents. It reaffirmed its clear rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism and praised Pakistan’s security forces for their response.

Saudi Arabia also expressed full solidarity with the government and people of Pakistan. Condolences were offered to the families of those who lost their lives, while prayers were made for the recovery of the injured.

The United States also condemned the attacks targeting both security personnel and civilians in Balochistan.

In a statement issued by US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker, it was stated that the Balochistan Liberation Army, which is designated by the US as a foreign terrorist organization, claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Natalie Baker expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the victims, their families, and all those affected by the violence. The statement said the US stands firmly with Pakistan during this difficult time.

It added that the United States remains a committed partner in supporting peace and stability in Pakistan and continues to support joint efforts against terrorism.

According to reports, security forces responded swiftly to the attacks carried out across 12 locations in Balochistan and neutralized 92 terrorists. However, 15 security personnel and 18 civilians lost their lives while defending the country.

Several other countries and international missions also condemned the violence. Qatar, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and others expressed solidarity with Pakistan and support for collective action against terrorism.
