(Web Desk) A recent report by India’s National Radiological Safety Division has confirmed Pakistan’s assertion that a BrahMos missile depot in Indian Punjab was destroyed during a military strike.

The report has revealed that the incident posed a significant radiological threat, prompting emergency safety measures in the area.

Following the strike, authorities issued a radiation alert and ordered the evacuation of all residents within a three-kilometer radius of the depot.

Those living within five kilometers were instructed to keep doors and windows closed to minimize exposure to potential radioactive contamination.

The findings have raised serious concerns about public safety and environmental hazards in the affected region.

The depot was reportedly hit during a Pakistani military operation on May 10, a claim that Islamabad had made earlier and is now being viewed as validated by India’s own radiological authorities.

Despite the implications, Indian officials have yet to make a public statement on the report or disclose details regarding the extent of the radiation leak or damage caused.
