US President Donald Trump has said that Iran is seeking a peace agreement with the United States, but described Tehran as a “poor negotiator” in recent talks, expressing hope for a more serious approach in future negotiations.

Speaking informally to reporters aboard his aircraft, President Trump said he remains personally engaged in the ongoing indirect negotiations with Iran and is closely monitoring developments. Trump noted that recent discussions showed Iran to be an ineffective negotiating partner, but added that Washington hopes Tehran will adopt a more reasonable and constructive stance in upcoming rounds of talks.
