Iran rejected US demand to stop uranium enrichment during nuclear talks but showed openness to discuss enrichment levels and technical details.
According to foreign media reports, nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States are ongoing in Muscat, Oman. During the talks, Iran firmly refused the American demand to completely halt its uranium enrichment program, which remains a key point of disagreement.
An Iranian regional diplomat present at the negotiations said Tehran is willing to discuss the level and purity of uranium enrichment. He added that Iran is also open to talks about forming a regional nuclear consortium, which could help create a cooperative framework for nuclear activities.
The diplomat noted that US negotiators appeared to understand Iran’s position on uranium enrichment. He said American officials showed flexibility regarding some of Tehran’s demands, raising hopes for possible progress in the ongoing negotiations.
However, the Iranian diplomat clarified that Iran’s missile capabilities were not discussed during the talks in Muscat. This indicates that both sides are currently focusing mainly on nuclear-related issues rather than broader military concerns.

The outcome of these talks is being closely watched worldwide, as any agreement could significantly impact regional stability and global diplomatic relations.
