ABUJA (Web Desk): Former Nigerian President and prominent political and military leader Muhammadu Buhari has died at the age of 82.

The news of his death has saddened his followers around the world, including in Nigeria. The Nigerian presidential office and his family have officially confirmed his death.

Muhammadu Buhari was one of the most important political leaders in Nigerian history. He served as president from 2015 to 2023, during this time he took a tough stance against corruption, implemented economic reforms, and implemented several important measures in the security sector. During his presidency, Nigeria strengthened its global identity.
