According to the company, the outage is connected to broader issues affecting the Amazon Web Services (AWS) region, reportedly triggered by the ongoing situation in the Gulf. The disruption escalated overnight, resulting in a complete service outage for users of the SadaPay app.
A company representative stated, “We are experiencing a temporary service disruption with one of our external partners. Our team is working diligently to restore services as quickly and smoothly as possible, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.” The response appeared to be automated.

In an official statement, SadaPay said the issue stems from damage to shared cloud infrastructure and is not related to its own systems. The company further noted that similar financial services across the Gulf and wider region are also experiencing disruptions due to the same issue.
Despite the outage, SadaPay reassured users that all funds are safe and fully accounted for. It also confirmed that debit cards, ATM withdrawals, and point-of-sale (POS) transactions remain operational.
The company added that it is working on resolving the issue as a priority and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
