Earlier leaks had suggested that Tecno would launch the Spark Slim concept device under a new identity. It is now confirmed that the handset will debut as the Tecno Pova Slim 5G, carrying forward much of the design DNA showcased in the prototype.
Although Tecno has not yet disclosed the full specifications, a Flipkart teaser has teased some of the most important features. Tecno Pova Slim 5G will support Tecno s Ella AI assistant, multi-Indian languages, as well as advanced AI utility like Circle to Search and a pre-installed writing assistant.
The other highlight addition is the No Network Communication feature, which allows users to be able to make calls even in the absence of active network coverage. Rumors also indicate that the device could come with a 5,200mAh battery, a 6.78-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP primary rear camera.

Tecno unveiled the Spark Slim concept earlier this year at MWC with an ultra-thin 5.75mm profile. The same slender looks now seem to be materializing in the Pova Slim 5G.
The release also coincides with competitor brands joining the thin-smartphone competition, with Infinix recently being awarded a Guinness World Record for its Hot 60 Pro+. With Tecno joining in on the fun, competition for the thinnest curved-display phones is heating up.
