Pakistan is working with China to send its first astronaut into space by 2026.

This project is a team effort between Pakistan’s space agency, SUPARCO, and China’s manned space program.

Two people from Pakistan will go to China’s astronaut training center. After training, one will be chosen to go to China’s space station as a scientific payload specialist. The selection started this year and will finish by 2026.

During the space mission, the astronaut will do many experiments. These will be in areas like biology, medicine, fluid science, materials, environment, and astronomy.

Minister Ahsan Iqbal said this is a very important project for Pakistan. He said the country is determined to send its first astronaut to China’s space station by 2026. This will be a big step for Pakistan’s space journey.

This joint project between Pakistan and China is a huge milestone for Pakistan’s space program. Sending the first astronaut shows Pakistan’s growing interest and investment in space exploration.
