The Czech Boxing Association is hosting this year s Grand Prix Ústí nad Labem, which has more significance both competitively and symbolically. The competition commemorates its 100th anniversary and is recognised as a World Boxing Challenge for the second year in a row. In such a difficult and deep field, Laura Akram s accomplishment is even more impressive given that it has drawn 184 boxers from 23 national federations.
The event will be at Winter Stadium in Czechia from 11 to 14 June, as it is a pivotal stop on the international boxing calendar. After the World Boxing Challenge concludes, focus will turn to the World Boxing Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan, later this month (30 June–6 July), before the 2025 World Championships in Liverpool. Laura Akram, Pakistan s newest athletic legend and a fighter with unresolved business in the ring, is still the centre of attention for the time being.
