
As per journalists Faizan Lakhani and Munbeeb Farrukh, the hockey players haven t received a single pretty penny of their daily allowance since the last 10 days when they landed in Malaysia. As is customary in international competitions, the players, coaches, and support team are expected to receive a certain amount of money per day in order to pay for their everyday needs, such as food, transportation and necessities; however, the hockey players aren’t even receiving that despite their efforts.

Once more, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has fallen short of providing their team with the most basic requirements.
This couldn’t happen at a worse time than this, as the team has won semi-finals despite years of ongoing instability and below-par results. Their chance at winning has added a ray of hope to Pakistan s hockey future.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is already criticized for poor management and financial irregularities; this incident just reinforces their lack of commitment to players. Players are entitled to respect, especially since they work day and night to represent Pakistan on the international stage.
