Morocco struck in the fourth minute when Oussama Tannane fired an audacious shot from the centre circle. The effort caught Jordan goalkeeper Yazeed Abulaila off guard, leaving the crowd stunned.
Jordan, who are preparing for their first-ever World Cup appearance in 2026, showed strong character after the break. Ali Olwan equalised with a header in the 48th minute and then converted a penalty in the 68th to put Jordan ahead.
As the match neared its end, Abderrazzaq Hamed Allah kept Morocco alive by scoring three minutes from full-time. His goal forced extra time and shifted momentum back to Morocco.

Morocco’s recent success goes beyond this title. They made history by reaching the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar, beating Spain and Portugal before losing to France.
Youth teams have also shone. Morocco won the Under-20 World Cup in October, reached the Under-17 World Cup quarter-finals, and claimed the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations, later winning Olympic bronze in Paris.
Morocco will now turn its focus to hosting the Africa Cup of Nations from December 21 to January 18.
