Gianni Infantino shared the plan while speaking to Pakistan TV Digital on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos. He said he has already informed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about his intention to travel to Pakistan.
The FIFA chief expressed confidence in recent changes within the Pakistan Football Federation. He said a new leadership team is now in place and moving in the right direction.
“I will come to Pakistan very soon. I promised the prime minister,” Infantino said. He praised the new PFF president, calling his work positive and encouraging.

Infantino described Pakistan as a country with huge football potential. He said FIFA wants to help Pakistan rise among Asia’s top football nations and is actively working toward that goal.
Pakistan’s engagement with FIFA has improved in recent months. In December, FIFA appointed Pakistani lawmaker Syeda Amnah Batool to its Institutional Reforms Committee, a move seen as a sign of growing trust and cooperation.
Earlier, in November 2025, FIFA Senior Vice President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa visited Pakistan. During his visit, he met football officials and government representatives to discuss infrastructure development, and better governance in the sport.
