FIFA suspended PFF’s membership due to its failure to implement necessary constitutional amendments.

These amendments are crucial for ensuring fair elections and completing the normalization process between the PFF and FIFA.

FIFA stated that the suspension will remain in effect until the PFF aligns its constitution with international standards.

This is not the first suspension for the PFF; in April 2021, FIFA imposed a ban after the Ashfaq Hussain Group took control of PFF offices. However, the ban was lifted in June 2022.

FIFA further clarified that the suspension will continue until the PFF ratifies the constitutional changes proposed by FIFA and the AFC.

As a result of the ban, Pakistan s teams will be excluded from all international competitions, and the financial and technical support from FIFA will be suspended.
