KARACHI (Web Desk): PCB bans Blessing Muzarabani from PSL for two years over contract breach, stressing professionalism and league integrity.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a two-year ban on Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani from the Pakistan Super League.

The decision was taken after a detailed disciplinary review. The board stated that the player failed to honour his agreed commitments, which goes against the rules and professional standards of the league.

PCB officials said that once a player agrees to key terms such as payment and contract details through written communication, it becomes a binding agreement. Ignoring such commitments is considered a serious violation.

According to the board, Muzarabani accepted the offer but later chose to move towards another arrangement, creating a conflict. This move was seen as damaging to the trust system on which professional cricket operates.

In its statement, the PSL management stressed that “professionalism in franchise leagues requires transparency and consistency.” It added that entering into another deal while an earlier agreement exists is unacceptable.

The board said such actions, if ignored, could harm the confidence of franchises and stakeholders. Therefore, strict action was necessary to protect the league’s credibility.

Officials also noted that while modern cricket schedules can be complex, maintaining discipline and respect for agreements remains essential for all players.

The two-year ban highlights the seriousness of the violation and sends a clear message that the league will not compromise on its ethical standards.
