KARACHI (Web Desk): Security measures finalized for HBL PSL matches in Karachi, with over 5,000 personnel deployed to ensure safety.

Authorities have finalized a comprehensive security plan for the upcoming matches of Pakistan Super League Season 11 in Karachi. The plan includes the deployment of more than 5,000 security personnel to maintain peace and ensure the safety of teams, officials, and spectators.

As part of the arrangements, the use of drones has been strictly banned in and around the National Bank Stadium. Officials have also prepared a detailed traffic management plan to ensure smooth movement across the city during match days.

The security plan was reviewed during a high-level meeting held at the Special Security Unit headquarters. The meeting was chaired by DIG Security and Emergency Services Division, Dr Maqsood Ahmed.

Security coverage will include the stadium, Jinnah International Airport, hotels, routes, practice grounds, and other sensitive locations. Sharpshooters will also be deployed at key points to further strengthen security.

Officials said all available resources will be utilized to ensure the matches are conducted peacefully and successfully without any security concerns.
