The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the date for the Pakistan Super League 11 players draft, marking a key milestone ahead of the league’s upcoming season.

According to details released by the PCB, the PSL 11 draft will be held on February 11, with player auctions conducted in Pakistani rupees. Franchises will bid on both local and overseas players as they shape their squads for the eleventh edition of the tournament.

PSL 11 Draft Categories and Base Prices

The PSL 11 player auction will be conducted across four different categories, each carrying a distinct base price:

• The lowest category will start at PKR 6 million
• The third category will begin at PKR 11 million
• The second category will open at PKR 22 million
• The top (Platinum) category will start bidding at PKR 42 million

These structured categories aim to ensure competitive balance while allowing franchises flexibility in squad building.

Squad Composition Rules for PSL 11

Under the PSL 11 regulations, each team must consist of 16 to 20 players. Every squad must include 5 to 7 foreign players, while 3 to 4 overseas cricketers must be part of the playing XI in every match.

The PCB has also emphasized youth development, making it compulsory for each squad to include two Under-23 players, with at least one Under-23 player required in the playing XI.

Direct Signings and Player Contracts

Franchises will be allowed to sign one foreign player outside the draft process directly. Players selected through the PSL 11 auction will be awarded two-year contracts, ensuring stability for teams and players alike.
