Lahore (Web Desk): In a high-stakes "Twin City" derby, the newly formed Rawalpindiz set a target of 157 for Islamabad United after a rain-delayed start at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Opting to bowl first on a tacky surface, Islamabad’s pace attack, led by Richard Gleeson (2/21), dismantled the Pindiz top order early, removing heavyweights Yasir Khan and Mohammad Rizwan cheaply. However, Kamran Ghulam anchored the recovery with a gritty 50 off 39 balls.

The momentum shifted dramatically in the final overs when Dian Forrester launched a brutal assault, smashing an unbeaten 44 off just 19 deliveries*. His late-inning fireworks, including 20 runs off the final over, propelled Rawalpindiz to a competitive 156/7.

Despite Imad Wasim’s clinical spell (1/15), Islamabad United now faces a tricky chase under the lights. With the surface offering grip for spinners, the Pindiz bowlers will be eyeing their first win of the season.
