(Web Desk): Karachi Kings beat Lahore Qalandars by four wickets in PSL 11, chasing 129 in a tense Gaddafi Stadium thriller led by Mohammad Wasim Jr.’s crucial innings.

In a gripping encounter of Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), Karachi Kings secured a dramatic four-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars at Gaddafi Stadium, successfully chasing a modest 129-run target in the 19th over.

Karachi Kings’ chase was anchored by Mohammad Wasim Jr., who played a match-defining knock of 38 runs under pressure. Supporting contributions came from Saad Baig (19), Moeen Ali (18), and Khushdil Shah (13), helping the team cross the line with three balls to spare.

Captain David Warner had a quiet outing with just 8 runs, while Salman Ali Agha was dismissed for a duck. Azam Khan added 14 runs, and Abbas Afridi remained unbeaten on 10 to steer Karachi to victory.

For Lahore Qalandars, skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi delivered an exceptional bowling spell, picking up 4 wickets for just 18 runs. However, his efforts went in vain as the rest of the bowling unit struggled to contain the chase.

Haris Rauf proved costly, conceding 45 runs for a single wicket, while Mustafizur Rahman managed one dismissal.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars posted 128 for 9 in their 20 overs after opting to bat first. Abdullah Shafique top-scored with 33 runs, followed by Haseebullah Khan (28) and Sikandar Raza (19).

Muhammad Naeem chipped in with 13 runs, while Pervez Hossain Emon scored 12. Captain Shaheen Afridi added 7 runs before departing.

The lower order failed to capitalize, with Haris Rauf scoring 4, while Fakhar Zaman and Usama Mir managed just one run each. Mustafizur Rahman remained unbeaten on 1.

Karachi Kings’ bowling attack was equally disciplined, with Moeen Ali, Mir Hamza, and Adam Zampa claiming two wickets each. Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Salman Ali Agha chipped in with one wicket apiece.

This PSL 11 thriller highlighted Karachi Kings’ composure under pressure and exposed Lahore Qalandars’ batting vulnerabilities despite a standout bowling effort from Shaheen Afridi.
