Karachi (Web Desk): Peshawar Zalmi extended their dominance at the top of points table with a 24-run victory over Multan Sultans in a 196-run target.

After being invited to bat, the "Yellow Storm" posted a formidable 196/6. The innings was defined by a blistering 68 off 40 balls from Kusal Mendis, who smashed six boundaries and three sixes.

Mohammad Haris provided an explosive start with 38 off just 17 deliveries, while a late cameo from Iftikhar Ahmed (10 off 5) ensured a strong finish.In response, Multan Sultans struggled against a disciplined bowling attack.

Despite a valiant 35 from Shan Masood and a steady 31 from Steve Smith, the Sultans were restricted to 172/8.

Zalmi’s Sufiyan Muqeem was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 30 runs, while Nahid Rana and Iftikhar Ahmed chipped in with two wickets apiece to seal the win.

This victory keeps Peshawar Zalmi unbeaten this season, further solidifying their status as the team to beat in this edition of the Pakistan Super League.
