Karachi (Web Desk): Peshawar Zalmi posted a commanding total of 196/6 in their 20 overs against Multan Sultans, setting the stage for a thrilling run chase in the 22nd match of PSL 2026.

After being put in to bat, Zalmi’s innings was anchored by a brilliant performance from Kusal Mendis.

The opener took the Sultans' bowling attack to the cleaners, smashing 68 runs off just 40 deliveries, including six boundaries and three towering sixes.

His aggressive approach provided the necessary platform for the middle order. Despite Multan Sultans attempting to pull things back through Mohammad Nawaz, the Zalmi batters maintained a high tempo.

Late cameos from Michael Bracewell and a quick-fire 10 runs from Iftikhar Ahmed ensured the momentum stayed with the yellow storm.With a target of 197 on the board, Multan Sultans face a steep climb against a Zalmi side that currently sits at the top of the points table.

All eyes are now on the Sultans' openers to see if they can hunt down this massive total.
