The David Warner Sydney incident happened in Maroubra, a suburb of Sydney, when Warner reportedly stopped his van just before a random breath testing point.
Police officers approached the vehicle and carried out a roadside test, which came back positive, leading to further investigation.
Authorities later confirmed the David Warner drink-driving charge after a second breath analysis showed a reading of 0.104, which is more than double the legal limit of 0.05 in New South Wales.
The offence falls under the mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol category. The Karachi Kings captain has been issued a Field Court Attendance Notice.
