(Web Desk): Hyderabad officially unveils its Pakistan Super League team name and logo at a grand Niaz Stadium ceremony, marking a major milestone ahead of its debut season.

Hyderabad has formally announced its identity in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with the official unveiling of its team name and logo, signaling a historic moment for cricket fans in Sindh. The reveal took place during a grand ceremony at Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad, attended by a large and enthusiastic crowd.

The new PSL franchise will compete under the name Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, with the franchise’s striking logo also revealed during the event. Franchise owner Fawad Sarwar made the announcement in front of packed stands, describing the moment as a proud milestone as Hyderabad prepares for its maiden PSL season.

The PSL team unveiling ceremony in Hyderabad featured live music performances, fireworks, and celebratory visuals, creating a festival-like atmosphere as fans warmly embraced the city’s new cricketing identity. The event highlighted Hyderabad’s growing presence on Pakistan’s professional cricket map.

Earlier, the Hyderabad Kingsmen attracted significant attention during the PSL draft with a series of high-profile signings. Australian batting star Marnus Labuschagne was confirmed as one of the franchise’s marquee overseas players, adding international pedigree to the squad.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s rising star Saim Ayub, currently the ICC’s No. 1 ranked T20 all-rounder, emerged as the biggest local acquisition. He was signed in the Platinum category for a record Rs. 12.6 crore, making him the most expensive Pakistani player in PSL history and underlining Hyderabad’s intent to build a title-contending side.

The Kingsmen further strengthened their squad by signing Usman Khan for Rs. 4.62 crore in the Diamond category, Maaz Sadaqat for Rs. 3.5 crore as an Emerging Player, and Akif Javed for Rs. 1.96 crore in the Gold category.

Beyond player recruitment, Hyderabad have also assembled an experienced PSL coaching staff. Former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie has been appointed head coach, supported by Grant Bradburn as fielding coach, Craig White as assistant coach, Hanif Malik as batting coach, and Zac Martin overseeing strength and conditioning.

With a distinct brand identity, a star-studded squad, and a seasoned international coaching unit, the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen have made a strong statement as they gear up for their first-ever PSL campaign.
