(Web Desk): Field Marshal Asim Munir praised Pakistan’s Under-19 Asia Cup victory, urging young cricketers to act as national ambassadors and uphold discipline on and off the field.

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir on Tuesday met the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team and congratulated the players and team management on their historic victory in the Under-19 Asia Cup, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the meeting, the Field Marshal praised the team’s discipline, unity, and fighting spirit, describing their performance as exemplary. He termed the achievement a moment of pride for the entire nation and said the success reflects the immense talent, dedication, and potential of Pakistan’s youth.

Field Marshal lauded the hard work and commitment shown by the young cricketers, noting that their triumph serves as an inspiration for aspiring athletes across the country. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high professional standards both on and off the field.

Former captain Waseem Akram lauded Ali Raza’s bowling and Sameer Mehnas’s match-winning 172-run innings. Test captain Shan Masood and pacer Naseem Shah also hailed the team’s confidence and future potential.

The young cricketers thanked senior leadership for encouragement, saying it would motivate them to achieve greater success.
