KARACHI: (Web Desk) Following a week after the inauguration of Lahore’s renovated Gaddafi Stadium, Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the revamped National Cricket Stadium in Karachi.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Governor Kamran Tessori, Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and others were also present on the occasion.

It is worthy to note that both stadiums have been revamped swiftly ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.

The PCB invited Test cricketers from Karachi to attend and add star power to the event. Reports suggest that the stadium s enclosures will be named in honor of Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan.

The grand opening of the stadium, also known as the National Bank Cricket Arena, was a lively celebration combining music and witty remarks.

The opening ceremony included musical performances by Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali, and Sahir Ali Bagga. A spectacular fireworks display also delighted the visitors.
