Seen dressed up in new colours are India captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh as they posed for cameras, India Today reports.  

There speculation that that India wouldn t be wearing jerseys that feature the Pakistan imprint as part of the official logo of the tournament. However, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed to India Today that the Indian team will adhere to the ICC guidelines.

It’s the first time in recent times that India’s jersey has Pakistan’s name printed on it, as during the Asia Cup 2023, which was also played in Pakistan, none of the teams had the hosts’ name on their jerseys.

The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will be held on Sunday, February 23, while India’s last fixture will be against New Zealand on Sunday, March 2.
