Pakistan dominated the West Indies, claiming a 127-run victory in the first Test and taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
In the second innings, Alick Athanaze remained the top scorer with 55. Four of the West Indies batsmen were sent to pavilion without score, while captain Kraigg Brathwaite (12), Mikyle Louis (13), Tevin Imlach (14), and Kevin Sinclair (10) were the only others to reach double figures.
Earlier, with his magical spell of bowling, Sajid Khan once again mesmerized the West Indies batters in the first session of the third day in Multan.
Khan claimed four early West Indies wickets for just 25 runs in the opening session, while Nauman Ali also took a wick.
In the first match of the two-Test series, Pakistan set 251-run target for the West Indies to win.
Pakistan added 48 runs to their overnight total. From Pakistan’s side, only batters managed to reach double-digit. Shan Masood made 52, Muhammad Huraira 29, Kamran Ghulam 27, and Salman Agha scored 14 runs.
Babar Azam made five runs, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, Saud Shakeel scored 9, 5, 2, 2 runs respectively. Khurram Shahzad, and Abrar Ahmed failed to make a run.
At the close of the second day s play, Pakistan was 109 for 3, holding a 202-run lead over the West Indies.
When play resumed on the third day, Kamran Ghulam and Saud Shakeel began Pakistan s innings.

The Pakistani batters struggled to find their rhythm against Jomel Warrican, losing wickets rapidly. Warrican finished with a career-best performance, taking seven wickets for just 32 runs, the best figures by any West Indian bowler in Pakistan. He was also involved in two run outs during Pakistan’s second innings.
Earlier, a brilliant bowling display by Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan helped Pakistan bowl out the West Indies for 137 on day two of the first Test at Multan Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
The West Indies chase of 230 runs began poorly as Sajid Khan tore through the top order, taking four wickets. Nauman Ali maintained the momentum and claimed five wickets, leaving the West Indies in disarray. The final wicket was claimed by Abrar Ahmed, who dismissed Jayden Seales while he was attempting to build a partnership with Warrican to reduce Pakistan’s lead.
Pakistan’s batting struggled in the first Test, ending Day 2 with a total of 230 runs. Saud Shakeel, top-scorer with 84, made a vital 141-run partnership with Mohammad Rizwan, who made 71 runs. However, the rest of the lineup faltered, with Salman Agha contributing just 2 runs and Nauman Ali run out without scoring. Sajid Khan (18) and Khurram Shehzad (7) added lower-order runs.
Jayden Seales and Jomel Warrican took 3 wickets each, while Kevin Sinclair claimed 2 and Gudakesh Motie took 1, limiting Pakistan to a modest total.
However, Pakistan is upbeat about clinching victory in ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.
