
According to Indian media reports, despite defeating West Indies in their last group match and qualifying for the semis, the India Champions team withdrew from the knockout clash scheduled against Pakistan.
As per the official WCL schedule, the high-voltage Pakistan vs India semi-final was to take place at 4:30 PM (Pakistan time). However, India reportedly opted out of the match once again, triggering another wave of disappointment among fans.
This isn’t the first time India has backed out. Earlier, India had also boycotted their group stage match against Pakistan. That match was officially cancelled by the tournament administration due to India’s refusal to participate.
Reports suggest that five Indian players — Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, and Shikhar Dhawan — had objected to Shahid Afridi’s presence in the Pakistan Legends squad, leading to their boycott.
