(Web Desk): Young Pakistani fast bowler Ihsanullah has gone viral and sparked concern after abruptly announcing he would quit cricket for a surprising personal reason.

The 22-year-old stated in a recent interview that he is not going to be playing cricket anymore because of a falling out with his friend named Abdullah. According to him, he wants to quit cricket because his friend is upset at him.

This strange behavior, mixed with a series of unusual videos circulating online—including some where he appears to be fake crying—has raised concerns amongst fans regarding his mental health.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Peshawar Zalmi are now being requested by cricket fans to step in and make sure Ihsanullah receives professional mental health support and a proper psychiatric evaluation.

Mental health experts stress that these types of displays of distress shouldn’t be ignored, as early mental health care can help prevent serious issues in the future.

Ihsanullah rose to fame as one of Pakistan’s fastest bowlers, regularly bowling over 150 kph. In the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Multan Sultans, he made headlines earning both Player of the Tournament and Bowler of the Tournament after delivering the fastest spell in league history.

During a home series against New Zealand, his rapid rise was halted by a severe elbow injury. The injury required surgery and a long rehabilitation period. However, his comeback was overshadowed by fitness concerns and allegations of poor medical management—including claims of a botched surgery.

Although he joined Peshawar Zalmi in 2025, Ihsanullah was not featured in any matches during PSL 10.
