Interim head coach Aqib Javed held a press conference in Lahore to announce the T20 and ODI squads for the tour. He mentioned that Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan have been dropped from the T20 squad, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf are not included in the ODI squad due to a lack of all-rounders.

Aqib Javed also shared that Muhammad Rizwan will lead the ODI team, while Salman Ali Agha will be the captain for the T20 team. Shadab Khan will serve as the T20 vice-captain. The team also includes domestic players like Hassan Nawaz, Aqib Javed, Mohammad Ali, and Abdul Samad for their excellent performances in domestic cricket.

The T20 squad consists of Captain Salman Ali Agha, Vice-Captain Shadab Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Hassan Nawaz, Jehandad Khan, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Khushdil Shah, Umair Bin Yousaf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufiyan Maqeem, Haris Rauf, and Hassan Nawaz. Fahim Ashraf and Imam-ul-Haq are also part of the T20 squad.
