Imamul Haq named Fakhar Zaman's replacement in Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad

LAHORE: (Web Desk) Imamul Haq will replace Fakhar Zaman in the national squad for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Imamul Haq, 27-year-old, has scored 3138 runs in 72, with an average of 48.3. He will depart for Dubai on first available flight.

Zaman will miss the match against India in Dubai. Fakhar was injured while fielding in the opening over of Pakistan s match against New Zealand in National bank Stadium.

Upon advice of doctors, Fakhar Zaman was ruled out of the tournament ahead of the much-hyped clash against arch-rival India.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Pakistan’s opening batter will not play the big ticket match due to injury.

In the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, New Zealand beat Pakistan by 60 runs at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium on Wednesday.
