Police have started investigating the case, involving the cyber cell and crime branch to track the sender.
Right now, Shami is playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

These repeated incidents highlight a growing fear among India’s Muslims, who are not only fighting for legal protection but are also facing a social and psychological battle. Critics say that Hindutva ideology, which was once seen as just a political movement, now seems deeply embedded in India’s state policies and public attitudes.
In today’s India, many Muslims are left wondering about their safety, identity, and future.
