Cold and dry weather is expected to prevail across most parts of Pakistan on Sunday, while rain and snowfall are forecast for upper regions, according to the latest outlook issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD stated that Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are likely to experience partly cloudy skies, with light rain and snowfall at isolated locations. In contrast, much of the country will remain under cold and dry conditions.
Fog Warning for Plains
Moderate to heavy fog is expected to affect the plains of Punjab, upper Sindh, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly during night and early morning hours, which may disrupt road and air travel.

Islamabad & Surroundings:
Cold and partly cloudy weather is expected throughout the day.

Punjab:
Most districts will remain cold and dry, while the Potohar region may experience partly cloudy conditions during evening and night. Murree, Galiyat, and nearby areas are expected to remain very cold, with chances of light rain or snowfall later in the day. Fog is likely to affect visibility in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Jhelum, Narowal, Okara, Gujrat, and Pakpattan.
Sindh:
Cold and dry weather will dominate most districts, with morning and nighttime fog expected in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Tando Jam, Mohenjodaro, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
Cold and dry conditions will prevail in most districts. However, Chitral, Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Battagram, and Mansehra may receive light rain or snowfall. Fog is expected in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Charsadda, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Balochistan:
Most districts will remain cold and dry, while northern areas of the province are expected to experience very cold and partly cloudy weather.
Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan:
Very cold and partly cloudy conditions are forecast, with chances of light rain and snowfall at a few locations.
The PMD advised citizens, especially travelers and motorists, to remain cautious due to fog and changing weather conditions in northern areas.
