LAHORE (Web Desk): Rain in Lahore on Sunday ended the prevailing heat and humidity as the weather in Lahore became pleasant with a cool breeze and temperatures dipped.

Heavy showers and strong winds provided a cooling environment for the inhabitants in localities including Abbott Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Shimla Pahari, Ferozepur Road, Kalma Chowk, Canal Road, Mall Road, Jail Road, and Islampura.

The Meteorological Department has stated that cloud cover continues to be in control of the skies in Lahore and that rain is expected to fall sporadically during the day.  The city is at a low of 28°C and a high of up to 36°C. Wind speeds of 13 km/h have been registered and the humidity levels have risen to 70%.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has forecast rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the upper Punjab, Islamabad, and Sindh. Rain is also forecast in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
