Additionally, regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and southern Sindh—especially Karachi, Hyderabad, and Mirpur Khas—may also experience rain between June 22 and 23. In these areas, rainfall could be relatively intense, raising concerns about flash flooding in local streams and drains.
The Met Office has issued a warning that torrential rains may lead to urban flooding in low-lying areas. There’s also a risk of landslides in hilly regions, prompting advisories for travelers to remain cautious.
Authorities have been instructed to remain on high alert and fully prepared for any emergencies. Citizens are urged to avoid unnecessary travel, especially in areas prone to slippery roads or potential waterlogging due to heavy rainfall.
While the rains are expected to ease the brutal summer heat, the public is strongly advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to avoid any adverse impacts.
