The moist currents were currently penetrating the upper parts of the country, while a westerly wave was also likely to approach the region on June 13, according to the forecast shared by the Met Office.

Under the influence of these weather systems, dust storms and rain and thundershowers, accompanied by isolated hailstorms, are likely in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Murree, Galliyat, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Battagram, Shangla, and Kohistan from June 13-16 with intermittent breaks.
During the same period, southern Punjab and upper Sindh are also expected to experience dust-storm and thunder-rain.
