Lahore again ranks world’s most polluted city

LAHORE (Web Desk): Punjab’s capital, Lahore, has once again ranked as the most polluted city in the world, according to the latest air quality data.
The city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at a hazardous 316 (at 1:30pm).The city records dangerous level of pollution.
This is another troubling development for Lahore which is struggling with worsening air quality, a major threat to public health and safety in the city.
Meanwhile, New Delhi, India’s capital, comes in second. This severe pollution, caused by high levels of particulate matter, poses significant risks to health, including respiratory and heart diseases.
Pakistan s largest city, Karachi, is also struggling with its own pollution crisis. Ranked seventh on the global pollution index, Karachi s AQI stood at 163, well above the safe threshold.
