LAHORE: (Web Desk) Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that the latest intense heatwave will last till June 21.

According to forecast shared by the Met office, various parts of the country including Islamabad, the temperatures are expected to remain critically high.

In plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the scorching daytime conditions will persist. While southern and eastern areas of Balochistan and upper and central districts of Sindh will also experience intense heat.

The authorities have asked citizens to stay hydrated, and restrict outdoor activities during peak hours.

The authorities have advised hospitals to prepare for an influx of patients, suffering from heatrelated illnesses, and relief agencies.
