Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) successfully operated its first special repatriation flight, bringing home 107 Pakistanis stranded in Iran. The passengers arrived at Islamabad Airport at 3:00 am aboard flight PK 9552, which had taken off from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Due to the ongoing closure of Iranian airspace, stranded nationals were transported by land to Turkmenistan, where the special flight had been arranged. This complex operation was executed in coordination with the Pakistani embassies in both Iran and Turkmenistan, who played a pivotal role in facilitating safe passage and travel logistics.
