ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, hailstorms, and strong winds in various regions, while several cities are expected to experience intense heat and dry weather.

According to the department, Islamabad and surrounding areas are likely to experience thunderstorms, rain, and gusty winds.

Similar weather conditions, including thunder, rain, and hail, are expected in northern Punjab areas such as Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, and Narowal.

Meanwhile, strong winds are predicted across most districts of Balochistan, which may lead to dust storms in some areas. Weather changes are also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, where thunder, rain, and hailstorms are likely.

However, central and southern parts of the country remain under the grip of extreme heat. Most districts of Punjab and Sindh will continue to experience very hot and dry weather, with dusty winds likely in central and southern Punjab.

Meteorologists have advised the public to check weather updates before traveling and avoid unnecessary outings during hailstorms or strong winds.

They also recommend increasing water intake and taking precautions to stay safe from the heat.
